Along with so many others, my Great Great Grandparents immigrated to the United States in 1920 wishing for a better life. In addition to their hopes, dreams, and ambitions they brought with them a recipe and the waffle iron seen here to carry on their much loved Belgian Tradition. Over the last 100 years, the role of making cookies at the holidays has been passed through the generations. For the last 10 years that responsibility has fallen on my shoulders, which is a position I am honored to have. After seeing the joy these cookies bring to our family and anyone else who gets to try them I decided it was time to share them with everyone.
